ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office have arrested a Huntington man accused of leaving his two small children home alone in the middle of the night while he was out on his motorcycle Thursday night.

According to the report, deputies were called to the residence on Robertson Lane around midnight after someone called concerned that the two children, aged 5 and 7, were in the residence alone.

Deputies arrived and found their father, David Joe Conway, 39, on his motorcycle on FM 2109. Conway saw the deputies and immediately turned around and drove to his house, according to the report. Deputies followed him to the house and the report states he got off his motorcycle and started to go into the house before turning around and surrendering himself to deputies.

Deputies arrested Conway on charges of endangering a child and evading arrest.
