NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputy arrested two Lufkin residents after he reported catching them with a mobile meth lab in the eastern part of the county Sunday night.

Sheriff Thomas Kerss said the deputy stopped the vehicle around midnight due to a traffic violation.

The deputy used probable cause to search the vehicle and found components of a mobile meth lab in the trunk of the vehicle, Kerss said.

Timothy Dewayne Pina, 31, and Kayla Pugh, 20, are charged with second-degree possession of transport chemicals with intent to manufacture.

As of 5:40 p.m. Monday, both were being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on $7,500 bonds.
