JASPER COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -
Two out-of-state men arrested after a Jasper County trooper reported finding more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana in a box trailer are being held in the jail on $500,000 bonds and an immigration hold.
A justice of the peace set the bonds Wednesday morning.
Enar David Zuniga, 45, of Clinton, NC, and Henry Hernandez, 31, of Pleasantville, NJ, were arrested Monday morning after a state trooper said he found 1,000 pounds of marijuana in the back of a truck along US 190, west of Jasper.
The pair is charged with first-degree delivery of marijuana.
I.C.E. officials have placed a hold on the pair, alleging they are illegal immigrants.
