From the Texas Department of Public Safety:
AUSTIN – Sean Michael Price, 27, a
Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, has been captured by the Texas Department of
Public Safety (DPS) in Tyler. An investigation led DPS Criminal Investigations
Division agents and Highway Patrol troopers to a Tyler residence where the
suspect was arrested for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Probation
Violation on Monday afternoon.
Price's last known residence was in Henderson County, and a
Failure to Register as a Sex Offender warrant was issued by the Gun Barrel City
Police Department in April. Price was originally convicted of Rape of a Child
in the state of Washington in 2001. Since no tip from the public was involved,
no reward will be paid.
This year DPS and other agencies have arrested 17 Texas 10
Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including 11 gang members. Texas Crime
Stoppers, funded by the Governor's Criminal Justice Division, has paid a total
of $40,500 in rewards for tips that have led to an arrest in 2012.
DPS investigators work with local law enforcement agencies
to select fugitives featured in the Texas 10 Most Wanted Program.
