Kenneth Strom (Source: Angelina County Jail)A Lufkin man set to plead guilty on a felony charge died after driving into a tree in Polk County Thursday morning.
Kenneth Ernest Strom, 43, died on the scene at 9:40 a.m.
According to the DPS report, Strom was driving on FM 356 near Frontier Road when he went off the road and hit a tree. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Lufkin Police arrested Strom in August after they determined he had improperly recorded a woman without her permission.
Strom was scheduled for a plea hearing on Friday, according to Angelina County District Attorney's Office prosecutor Layne Thompson. Thompson said he was pleading guilty without a plea agreement. He would receive his sentence after a pre-sentence investigation.
