NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches woman pleaded guilty Thursday to running a gambling establishment, accepting a one-year probation deal.

Prosecutors allowed Krista Michelle Allen, 38, to plead to a lesser charge of Class A operating an illegal gambling place. She had been charged with felony engaging in organized crime.

Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested Allen in July 2010 after raiding a building on Woden Road and confiscating eight-liner machines and about $2,700 in cash.

Allen's husband, Michael Stevens Allen, 40, is also charged with a felony charge in the raid. He returns for another court appearance in September.

District Judge Ed Klein approved the plea bargain.
