Officials: Huntington man injures disabled woman after she mows lawn, offers dinner

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office have arrested a Huntington man accused of injuring a disabled woman who asked him what he wanted for dinner after she mowed the lawn Friday night.

According to the arrest report, the victim came in from mowing the yard on the 600 block of Jack Carnley Road around 8 p.m. and asked the suspect, Kenneth Paul Carnley, 54, what he wanted for dinner.

The report states the two got in an argument over dinner and Carnley hit the victim with a ceramic plate and knocked her down.

Deputies came to the scene and arrested Carnley on a charge of injury to disabled. He posted a $5,000 bond the same night.

The victim was treated at the scene for cuts and bruises on the eye, the back of her head and arm.

The report does not state what kind of disability the victim has, nor the relationship between the victim and suspect.
