EDGEWOOD, TX (KLTV) -

Van Zandt County authorities are still searching for a man who took off from them during a burglary call near Wills Point on Tuesday.

Dispatchers said the call was received around 12:30p.m. Tuesday on Farm-to-Market Road 1395 of a burglary in progress, after the homeowner arrived at his residence to find a gray step side Ford F-150 truck pulling quickly out of his driveway and heading towards FM 47. As the homeowner approached his residence he saw a man crawl out of his bedroom window and take off on foot. The homeowner chased the subject on foot, but lost him.

Deputies arrived on the scene and checked the area where the suspect was last seen and were able to locate, 37-year-old Tony Allen Lemmon of Wills Point, north of the residence hiding in the brush.

Lemmon was taken into custody and booked in on a charge of Felony Burglary of a Habitation with a $20,000 bond.

The second suspect who fled the scene in the F-150 was identified as Jeffery D. Littrell, a while male who is still at large.

If you have any information that would assist the Sheriff's Office with apprehending the other suspect, please contact the Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers.
