Police: Lufkin man hurts child, 1, in window-breaking frenzy

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin Police arrested a man accused of violating a protective order, injuring a child and breaking a window in a police car early Wednesday.

According to the police report, Patrick Darnell Green, 24, of Lufkin, went to a woman's residence on the 100 block of Kirksey Drive, which is a violation of a protective order. The report states he assaulted a woman and broke out a window of her car, near where a one-year-old child was sitting.

The child suffered a cut from the broken glass.

Officers arrived to arrest Green and the report states he kicked out the back window of a patrol car.

Green is charged with state jail felony injury to a child, Class A misdemeanors of violating a protective order, criminal mischief, assault and resisting arrest and a Class B misdemeanor for criminal mischief.
