Manhunt Monday: Man sought in bat beating

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Police are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest or indictment of a suspect in a Phoenix aggravated assault.

Officers released a composite sketch of the suspect they believe beat a 59-year-old man multiple times with a bat.

The attack occurred on May 18 about 8:45 p.m. in the doorway of the victim's apartment in the 4000 block of East McDowell Road, police said. The victim suffered serious injuries.

The suspect is described as black and between 20 to 25 years old.

Authorities said anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (480-948-6377).
