ETX man killed when train collides with truck

HOPKINS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas man was killed when a train hit his truck in Hopkins County.

The accident happened at the railroad crossing on County Road 4721 and the I-30 Service Road in Sulphur Springs around 7:45 p.m., Wednesday.

According to DPS, Martin Ruiz-Herrera, 33, of Point was pronounced dead at the scene. The wreck is being investigated by Trooper Billy Haley.
