Police: restaurant employee throws hot grease on woman

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches Police have yet to arrest a restaurant employee who allegedly threw hot grease on a woman.

According to a police report, a 21-year-old female entered a Long Johns Silver's Restaurant located in the 1500 block of North Street about 5 p.m. Sunday.

The woman got into an argument with an employee at the restaurant over a personal matter.

Police say during the disturbance, the employee allegedly threw a cup of hot grease on the victim, causing burns to her face.

The woman was treated at the hospital.

The victim told police she wants to file charges against the employee. If charged, the employee could face assault charges.

Police have not made any arrests, and the case remains under investigation.
