Teen's scalp ripped off in tractor accident

LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - A 14-year-old Leesburg, Georgia, girl is recovering after her scalp was ripped off in a farming accident.

Brooklyn Parrish was helping her grandfather dig holes with a tractor when her hair got caught in the tractor's PTO shaft Monday afternoon.

The accident happened on State Plantation on Gillionville Road in western Dougherty County.

The Lee County Middle Schooler was airlifted to Shands Hospital in Gainesville for surgery and remains hospitalized tonight in fair condition.
