NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Authorities have arrested a second woman charged in connection to a four-year-old child being injured during a fight on July 4.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, two women were walking in the 1500 block of Fox Street with two children below the age of 5. They were confronted by three women, two of which were Roneshia Roger,20, of Nacogdoches, and Jacquelin Michelle Sterns, 43, of Nacogdoches.

As the women held the children by the hand, the three women began hitting them with their fists, according to the report.

One of the children suffered a large laceration to the top of his head.

Police obtained a warrant for Sterns' arrest on July 24. She was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on Wednesday on a charge of state-jail felony endangering a child.

Roger was arrested on July 25.
