A Cushing man received a probation sentence Thursday morning after pleading guilty to punching a trooper during an arrest in March.
According to a previous report, Jarred Wade Benson, 21, was involved in a
one-vehicle wreck on County Road 817. A trooper arrived on
the scene and determined Benson was intoxicated.
Benson was uncooperative and
tried to resist being arrested. He then hit the trooper with a glancing
blow to the face.
The trooper managed to subdue and arrest Benson.
District Judge Ed Klein approved the sentence.
