LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Three months after denying a pair of Lufkin men probation, a district judge granted the plea bargain for two men who vandalized a school in August 2011.
Melsar Bonilla, 18, and Cristian Granados, 20, pleaded guilty to criminal mischief.
Judge Paul White denied the plea deal in May, after neither fully admitted to the crime. In the courtroom Thursday, they admitted to it and White accepted the deal for three years probation.
They were arrested in August 2011 after they broke a door at Coston Elementary, located on the 700 block of Trenton Drive, and damaged TVs, sprayed a fire extinguisher on the walls and left human feces inside the building.
