Nacogdoches trooper reports catching man driving drunk with child

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches County trooper arrested a Carthage man accused of driving drunk with a child passenger Sunday afternoon.

According to the arrest report, the trooper stopped a 1999 Dodge Durango, driven by Jason Wayne Pope, 34, following a traffic violation.

The trooper determined Pope was intoxicated and had a 12-year-old boy as a passenger and arrested him on a charge of state-jail felony driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.
