There were more details released today at a news conference on the shooting rampage near the Texas A&M campus yesterday afternoon.

KLTV's Lauren Callahan has been in College Station since yesterday afternoon and has an update for us from the press conference held this morning by College Station Police Chief, Jeffrey Capps.

Chief Capps stressed this is still an active crime scene and an ongoing investigation. It is a two block crime scene that centers around 211 Fidelity Street, where Constable Bachmann was serving those eviction papers to Thomas Caffell.

Chief Capps told media that Bachmann arrived at Caffell's residence just after noon yesterday.

Chief Jeffrey Capps said,
"Officer Bachmann was shot in the front yard of that residence by Thomas Caffell. Caffell then
began shooting at other victims in the area, then at College Station police officers as they were
approaching the scene. Our officers returned fire, striking Caffell. During the incident, Caffell
fired several rounds. Investigators have found several long guns and pistols in the area that he used.

In or around that initial round of gunfire that struck Constable Bachmann, we're learning that Caffell struck 51-year old Barbara Holdsworth of Houston. Chief Capps said she was several hundred yards down the street.

He also shot 51-year old Chris Northcliff, who was south from the scene on Highland Street, during that period. Northcliff later died of his injuries.

Chief Capps said that once College Station Police Officers arrived on scene, it took them several
minutes of back and forth gunfire to subdue Caffell.

Police say that they had never dealt with Caffell before, and couldn't elaborate on the specific types of guns he used, pending their investigation.

KLTV has obtained cell phone video from the scene the shooting. This video was shot by former Army medic, Rigo Cisneros, who lived near the scene and rushed to perform aid on constable Bachman and the shooter, Thomas Caffall, after being cleared by an officer to do so.

He tells KLTV that once cleared, he helped another officer try to revive Constable Bachmann.

"As soon as I approached, I went to a knee, took his pulse, got nothing, and immediately asked him to help me do CPR," Cisneros said.

Paramedics arrived and took over. So Rigo moved over to Cafall. That's when Cafall spoke to him about what he'd done.

"He asked me to apologize to the officer that he had shot," Cisneros said. "He was clearly in shock at that point, and he was starting to lose color. They put him on a gurney and got him out of there."

Rigo Cisneros was going today for medical testing, after getting a great deal of Caffall's blood on him after the shooting.
