Easy swiss steak

Recipe from Anne Derrick of Washington

Ingredients:

2 cubed steaks

1 package of Lipton® Dried Onion soup mix

1/2 cup water

1 can of diced tomatoes

1 to 2 cups flour, seasoned to taste with garlic salt and pepper

Cut the cube steaks into 3 or more pieces, then bread the cube steaks in the seasoned flour mixture. After browning the steaks, add the dried soup mix, tomatoes and water. Cover and simmer on low heat for 60 minutes or until done.

Serves 2-4

Serving suggestion: Try serving Swiss steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The juices from the meat can serve as a gravy for the potatoes.
