Regions Bank robbery suspect pleads guilty

A Shreveport woman accused of robbing a Tyler bank has plead guilty in a Tyler court.

27-year-old, Vanessa Ashford of Shreveport robbed the Regions Bank on SE Loop 323 at knife point back in March.

A jury will decide her punishment. They are picking a jury today and will begin evidence at 8:30 am Tuesday. That phase is expected to last until Thursday.

She faces a possible punishment of Probation up to life.

She also confessed to involvement in the Telco Plus Credit Union robbery, which will be tried at a later date.
