NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches County trooper arrested two Houston-area women Saturday night after he reported catching them trying to traffic cocaine down US 59.

According to the arrest report, the pair were in a Chevy four-door car and going 74 miles-per-hour in a 55-miles-per-hour zone. The trooper reported that they showed signs of criminal behavior, including inconsistent stories about their travel.

The trooper received consent to search the vehicle and reported finding 316 grams of cocaine in the trunk.

The trooper arrested Patience Shanea Durst, 24, of Houston, and Janie Mae Ford, 27, of Baytown, on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
