The US 59 south ramp in Lufkin is closed following an 18-wheeler wreck.
According to Officer Blake Witherspoon, with Lufkin Police, around noon on Monday the truck was traveling southbound on US 59 traveling at a fast speed when a load of beer shifted inside the trailer, causing it to overturn and slide across a median.
The driver identified as Anthony Owens, 22, of Missouri was transported to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, according to Witherspoon he appeared dazed and confused.
The ramp is closed until crews finish unloading the truck and flipping it back over.
No other injuries were reported.
As of 5 p.m., traffic was still closed on the business portion of US 59 northbound at the loop. TABC is still assisting with the unloading of the truck.
