Flash flood warnings in effect for East Texas counties

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A flash flood warning have been issued by the National Weather Service in Shreveport for several East Texas Counties until 10:15 p.m.

Included in this warning are Angelina County, Nacogdoches County and San Augustine County.

Earlier Friday evening a National Weather Service meteorologist detected a storm capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 miles per hour. The storm is moving northeast.

Officials also warn off lightning strikes that could reach the ground. If you are outside you should seek shelter inside a strong building and stay away from windows.
