Crews contain brush fire near Douglas

DOUGLASS, TX (KLTV) -

Crews have contained a fire that burned close to 35 acres Sunday in eastern Smith County.

Officials say the fire, located near the community of Douglas close to the intersection of County Road 26 and County Road 233 is now 100-percent contained.

Jackson Heights, Winona, Chapel Hill and Bullard fire crews all responded to the scene and were able to control the fire.

No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
