Lufkin Police: Woman attacks boyfriend with scissors, broomstick

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A 41-year-old Lufkin woman was charged with aggravated assault of a family member with a weapon following a Sunday domestic dispute in which she cut her live-in boyfriend with a pair of scissors and hit him  with a broomstick, according to a police report.

Angela C. Santana, 41, of Lufkin, is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on the aggravated assault charge.

According to the police report, LPD officers responded to a domestic dispute call at a residence in the 700 block of Abney Ave.  at  4:37 a.m Sunday.  The man told police officers that his live-in girlfriend cut him on the thumb with a pair of scissors and hit him in the head with a broomstick.

Santana is being held on a $20,000 bond.
