NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A woman told Nacogdoches police officers that a man punched her 10-year-old son and pushed him down following an argument about a car Monday evening.

The woman told the NPD officers that she wished to file an injury to a child charge, a third-degree felony, against the man. However, no arrests have been made in the case, and no serious injuries were reported, according to Sgt. Greg Sowell, the public information officer for the Nacogdoches Police Department.

According to the police report, Nacogdoches police officer responded to an injury to a child call at a trailer park in the 700 block of East Lane Drive at about 8 p.m. Monday. The woman told officers that the suspect borrowed her vehicle and became confrontational when she wanted it back. When the woman's child attempted to get between the man and his mother, the suspect allegedly punched him and pushed him down.
