NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

On Tuesday, Nacogdoches police officers arrested a 23-year-old man in connection to an alleged injury to a child incident that took place Monday evening.

Daniel Carl Toole, 23, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a charge of injury to a child, a state jail felony. No Bond has been set at this time, according to jail records.

According to police reports, NPD officers responded to an injury of a child call at a trailer park in the 700 block of East Lane Drive at about 8 p.m. Monday. The woman told officers that Toole borrowed her vehicle and got belligerent when she wanted it back. When the woman's 10-year-old son attempted to get between his mother and Toole, the suspect allegedly punched him and pushed him down.

At the scene, the woman told the NPD officers that she wished to file an injury to a child charge against Toole.
