Applebee's Grill & Bar @4609 S. Medford: 23 demerits for improper temperatures, floor under fryer needs cleaned, do not store food on freezer floor, do not store drinks on ice, repair leak under prep table and repair leak in bar.

Tasty Kream Donuts @ 309 S. Timberland: 14 demerits for walls need to be cleaned, walls need to be repaired and paint high gloss in prep area, restore hot water to women's restroom and repair leak at sink.

Wal-Mart Deli @ 2500 Daniel McCall: 12 demerits for cheese too warm, clean inside meat and cheese case, clean under prep tables and hand sinks must be accessible.

Wal-Mart Bakery @ 2500 Daniel McCall: 10 demerits for clean under equipment, do not store food on freezer floor, paper towels needed and store bulk food item scoops properly.

Best Western Restaurant @ 3211 S. First St.: 9 demerits for foods kept too cool and food manager required.

    Students who entered the Angelina County Youth Fair displayed the goats they've been raising for the past year on Thursday. Goats were judged on their broad shoulders, chest, their ability to be well balanced from head to tail and their muscle. They were divided into 5 weight classes ranging from light to heavy.
