ETX man arrested after evading and assaulting DPS trooper

KILGORE, TX (KLTV) -

A Kilgore man is jailed for evading arrest and assaulting a public servant.

DPS troopers began chasing 34-year-old Johnny Eldon Green around 8 pm Saturday night and upon stopping him, Green began fighting with troopers.

Officials say Green was tasered to be subdued. Troopers also found multiple drugs in his vehicle.

Green is held on $65-thousand dollars bond on charges of assault a public servant, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and evading arrest.
