Longview Police arrest suspect in connection to double robbery

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Longview police have arrested a man in connection with two robberies in Longview over the weekend.

The first happened at around 8 PM Saturday at the E-Z ACCESS on Gum Springs Road. A white male wearing a hoodie with a scruffy beard came in a demanded money at gunpoint, then fled.

The second occurred around 6 AM Sunday at the Day Night Texaco convenience store at 3100 Estes Parkway and I-20 Frontage Road North. Just like the first robbery, cash was demanded and the suspect fled.

The suspect in both cases is described as a white male wearing a hoodie, 160-180 lbs and in his mid-20s. Anyone with information is asked to call Longview Police.

Officials spotted the man fitting this description near another Longview business and he was arrested. He will be arraigned on charges Monday.
