Marshall Police searching for suspect in Wiley College fight

MARSHALL, TX (KLTV) -

Marshall Police are asking for assistance in locating the suspect they believe is responsible for a fight on the Wiley College campus last month.

Press Release from Marshall Police Department:

On September 23, 2012 at approximately 2:05pm, Marshall Police Dispatch received a
phone call in reference to a fight in progress at Wiley College located at 711 Wiley
Avenue (Strickland Dormitory).

Marshall Police Officer's as well as Marshall Firefighters/EMT responded to Wiley
College where a black male was found with multiple injuries.

After further investigation, the suspect was identified as Kevin Dewayne Whaley, DOB
03/03/1980, black hair; brown eyes; 5'7" in height and weighing 170 pounds. Whaley is
known to frequent the Longview/Marshall area.

A warrant for Aggravated Assault has been issued for Whaley.

The Marshall Police Department is asking anyone who has seen Whaley to contact Lt. Patrick Clayton of the Marshall Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 903-935-4540. Any after hour calls may be directed to MPD Dispatch at 903-935-4575 or anonymous calls can be
directed to Marshall/Harrison Crimestoppers at 903-935-9969.
