Two-vehicle wreck sends one woman to a Lufkin hospital

KTRE, TX (Lufkin) - By A two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Daniel McCall and Southwood drives sent one woman to a Lufkin hospital Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the accident at approximately 4 p.m. Monday. A police officer at the scene said that it looked as though two-door red Honda ran the stop sign at the intersection of Daniel McCall and Southwood drives and struck a white Mitsubishi Galant.

The accident left a female occupant of the Galant trapped in her vehicle. Firefighters from the Lufkin Fire Department freed her by removing the driver's side door of her car. The extent of the woman's injuries are not known at this time. Two people that had been riding in the Honda were uninjured.
