A Tyler man was arrested for fondling a woman at the Rose Rudman walking trail.

The incident happened around 1:45 p.m., Thursday on the park bridge area north of Shiloh Road.

Jacob Bobbitt, 19, was arrested and charged with public lewdness.

According to Tyler Police, a woman was pushing her child on the trail when she was approached by a man from behind and fondled in a quick manner.

She screamed and people in a car on Donnybrook heard it and were able to get a license plate number on the vehicle the man fled in. Police stopped him nearby.

Bobbit was arrested for the same type of incident at a Tyler Walmart last month.

The mother and infant were not injured. Bobbit remains in jail, his bond has not been set.
