Jeff Morris was the company commander of company B, first battalion, eighth calvary regiment, second brigade combat team, 1st calvary division...to be known forever as "legion eight".

Morris had always been attracted to the military, but with the terrorist attack of nine eleven, he knew for certain it was his destiny.

By March of 2004, after graduation from officer's candidate school, Morris arrived in Iraq, a green young platoon leader thrown into the midst of battle.

Although firefights were constant in the Sadr City area, Morris's first big initiation came on august 12th of 2004.
