Sixty two years after World War Two ended, Don Williams, a resident of Buckner Westmiinister in Longview, received his military service medals.

Soon after his enlistment , Williams was selected for a special naval flight program.

He was forced to postpone his wedding to fiancee Mattie for a entire year as he was training to pilot a b-24 liberator.
