BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

Police are still looking for clues after a woman driving a car that fell from the upper level of a local casino parking garage early Wednesday morning has died.

Robin Alexander Lyons, 21, of Shreveport had to be cut from her Chevy Caprice with the Jaws of Life and other extrication equipment, after police say she drove the vehicle through a barrier of steel cables along the edge of the third level of the Boomtown Casino parking garage around 3 a.m.

Police say the car fell 60 feet to the garage entrance from the third floor, landing on its roof and pinning the woman inside.

According to Mark Natale, Bossier City Police Public Information Officer, Lyons was trapped for some 20 minutes before rescuers were able to pull her out of the car. She was taken to LSU Hospital, where she died Wednesday afternoon.

No eyewitnesses have come forward with a statement to police.

"There were two other individuals, I believe guest in the hotel who reported just hearing the crash and did not see anything," says Natale.

Police say they believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash and that Lyons was wearing a seat belt. The toxicology report is expected within the coming weeks. The crash remains under investigation.
