Nacogdoches Police detained 12 men after learning 11 of them were undocumented workers trying to move into the United States during a traffic stop Monday afternoon.

Sgt. Mark Hurst said an officer stopped Chevy Tahoe on the 2700 block of Northwest Stallings Drive after the driver committed a traffic violation at 2:39 p.m. The officer questioned the passengers and said none of them had any type of identification.

Through questioning with the driver, officers learned each passenger had paid different amounts to be brought into the US. All of them had different specific destinations.

Police took the 11 illegal aliens and the driver to the Nacogdoches County Jail, where they will be taken into custody by I.C.E. officials.
