COLUMBIA, SC (AP) - Steve Spurrier has accepted South Carolina won't win a Southeastern Conference title this year. He's now focused on making sure the Gamecocks' 2-game slide doesn't grow this week against Tennessee.

The Gamecocks coach said Tuesday his players have to regroup and re-discover the form that had them 6-0 and ranked No. 3 in the country only two weeks ago. Since then, No. 17 South Carolina's dropped a pair of top-10 matchups at LSU, 23-21, and at Florida, 44-11.

The Gamecocks (4-2 SEC) struggled to run the ball as they had in the first six games. A big reason was a hip bruise tailback Marcus Lattimore suffered against LSU that kept him from starting against Florida.

Spurrier said Lattimore was healthy and would carry the load against the Volunteers (3-4, 0-4).
