LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
Although Halloween is
still about a week away, kids can get a jump start on the fun at the Ellen
Trout Zoo's "Zoo Boo" event. Zoo Boo is a safe environment where children can
show off their stylish costumes or play fun-filled games to win prizes.
"There will be
several animals out on exhibit also," Casey Callas the Zoo Boo coordinator,
said. "The hippos are generally out at that particular time. There is an
opportunity to fish in front of the hippos, and there are several other gaming
opportunities."
Organizers say there
is something for all ages at Zoo Boo. Admission is $2.50 for children 4 to 11, $5for
12 and up, and free to all children under the age of 4. Zoo Boo will be 6-8
p.m. Friday and Saturday.
