LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Three people are in the hospital after a four car accident Sunday afternoon.
Officers on scene say a Chevy truck and a Jeep were sitting at a light on N. Raguet headed toward HWY 103 and a Gold Aztec SUV coming from HWY 103 was crossing the John Redditt intersection when a Scion traveling North Bound on John Redditt hit the Aztec.
Police say someone ran a red light but they are unclear who it was at this point because of conflicting witness statements.
The driver of the Silverado and the driver of the Aztec SUV both say they had a green light.
Police say they have not been able to speak with the driver of the Scion because she was taken to the hospital.
All three people taken to the hospital via ambulance were female. Their condition is unknown at this time.
The Scion had severe front end damage and the both the passenger side tires on the Aztec were blown out in the crash. The Aztec's airbags also deployed.
