COLLEGE STATION, TX (KLTV) -

Activities at Texas A&M are returning to normal, but officials are urging caution following a "Code Maroon" alert Thursday afternoon.

Officials began searching for an armed man in his late 40s around 4:40 p.m. on campus at College Station. The man was described as having light hair and wearing a lime green short-sleeved shirt and jeans. Officials said he was also carrying what looked like a wooden-handled handgun and was last seen heading in the direction of Sanders Corps Center.

Less than an hour later, officials had not located the suspect and activities were resuming on campus. Police continue to investigate.

Anyone with information should call University Police at 979-854-2345.
