2-Year-Old Girl Gets Shot in the Foot During Shooting

A shooting earlier today left a 2-year-old girl wounded.

Trooper Chris Harrison says he was at a traffic stop on Highway 59 when a black Ford SUV drove by with a shot out window. Trooper Harrison flagged her over and found the driver and her 2-year-old daughter in the back seat with a gunshot wound to the foot. The driver says her husband pulled up next to her in a white Chevy Cavalier and fired several times. One bullet shot through the drivers window, narrowly missing her, while the other two were fired into the back seat door. One of those bullets went through the door and into the little girls foot. She was taken to Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin.

DPS, police, and sheriff's officials are still looking for the shooter.
