Dog bites SFA Phi Delta Theta Fraternity member

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Phi Delta Theta fraternity member is recovering after a dog attacked the man and left him injured.

According to police reports, two Stephen F. Austin State University fraternity brothers were  "horsing around", when one of the member's dog, a Great Dane, bit one of the men fighting.

Police say it is unclear if the men were play fighting with each other or with the dog or both.
The bite victim was taken to a Nacogdoches hospital with a small puncture wound and a scratch on his arm.

Authorities say the injury was not serious.
