Motorcyclist killed in Monday morning wreck identified

GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A motorcyclist was killed after losing control in a curve in the road near the Gregg/Smith County line.

The motorcyclist has been identified as 49-year-old Kenneth Lee Pendergraft, age 49.

According to DPS, preliminary investigations conclude that the accident happened on the westbound side of FM 2767, when the driver of the motorcycle lost control of the bike in a curve and hit construction equipment that was on the side of the roadway.

Gregg county DPS got the call at 5:45 a.m., but they are still investigating what time the accident actually happened.

The identity of the driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
