PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A 31-year-old Phoenix man was arrested last week on suspicion of sexually assaulting a juvenile while dragging her toward an alley, police said.
A DNA swab taken from the victim's fingernails after she scratched the attacker was entered into a database that led to a match.
Robert June was booked into jail on three counts of sexual abuse and one count of unlawful imprisonment.
The victim was able to fight off her attacker, police said.
Around the same date, there were two similar incidents in the area with similar methods of operation and suspect descriptions, according to a police report. Officers said the incidents are believed to be related with DNA testing pending in one of those cases.
Police said June failed a polygraph test. June said he must have allegedly committed the offense while he was intoxicated, according to a probable cause statement.
