LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
This morning at the George H. Henderson expo
center, Angelina Beautiful/Clean and the Lufkin Landscape Task force unveiled new
landscape for the facility. It was a project that has taken a long amount of
time to see finished but people involved believe it will help grow the
popularity of the expo center.
"It is just an icon
for this community and the folks that it brings and the events that it brings
to this community and the fact that we have had so many people contribute to
this revitalization program," said expo board member Trey Henderson.
Henderson, who is the son of George H.
Henderson, the namesake of the expo center also added that this was the icing
on the cake of a long project to revitalize the expo center.
