LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
This Veterans Day area military service members took advantage of the opportunity to get a free haircut at participating Sport Clips.
At least 4 veterans stopped by the Nacogdoches Sport Clips during the annual Veterans Day Cut-a-thon to get their haircut Sunday.
In addition to the free haircuts, Sport Clips donates one dollar to the "Help a Hero Program" which makes it possible for deployed and hospitalized service members to make free phone calls home.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Operation Uplink program hopes to raise half a million dollars toward the project this year.
