Crash cleared on eastbound I-10 in Phoenix

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A crash on Interstate 10 that backed up eastbound traffic from 24th to 40th streets has been cleared.

The Arizona Department of Transportation tweeted about 6:10 a.m. that delays were expected to ease shortly after the HOV and left lanes had been cleared.

ADOT had earlier tweeted that the backups reached more than a mile to the split for I-10 and I-17.
