Rusk senior Sydney Littlejohn will play college softball in the SEC. Littlejohn has signed with the University of Alabama. Alabama just happens to be the defending national champions. The district pitcher of the year had offers from other SEC school's, but the choice was simple.
"Every time I go there I feel at home," said Littlejohn. "I feel like it's just like Texas and its own little place. I feel like I'll fit in there and it's a special place for me."
Playing for the defending national champs comes with pressure. Littlejohn says she wants to make Rusk proud.
"I love competition and I'm ready to see what I can do," she said. "I'm nervous, but I'm very excited."
