Angelina Beautiful Clean hosts "shred day"

Posted: Updated:

Angelina Beautiful Clean and Woodland Heights Medical Center kicked off America Recycle's Day this morning with their annual "Shred Day." Security Shredding teamed up with the program to help people dispose of unwanted documents such as old income tax bills and receipts. The program focuses on saving the environment while keeping the community clean and green.

"This is a great program. We've been doing it for years. We do it twice a year and it's just a great service that Angelina Beautiful Clean and our sponsor Woodland Heights Medical Center do to help safely and securely properly dispose of your documents," said Amanda Anderson, Executive Director for Angelina Beautiful Clean.

Anderson says she expects over a hundred people to participate in the two-day event. People can bring unwanted documents to the Angelina County Chamber of Commerce Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
